Mental: transformations and nested bonus modes

Mental is a Nolimit City release from 31 August 2021. Its distinguishing structure combines symbol transformations, enhanced positions and several levels of free spins. Those layers deserve separate attention: a Spider transformation is not the same event as a Scorpion bonus trigger, and the treatment of multipliers changes between bonus modes. This is an older game with its own mechanics, not a new release because a review or demo page has been added recently.

Dead Patients and Fire Frames

Two Dead Patient symbols create an opportunity for a random multiplier on a Patient symbol, with published values from 5x to 9,999x. The manufacturer describes four or six Fire Frames as activating Enhancer Cells involving mechanics such as xWays, xNudge and xSplit. Their roles differ: xWays expands symbol stacks, xNudge shifts stacked wilds and increases their multiplier as they move, and xSplit divides symbols. The presence of a modifier should be followed through to the final evaluated combination rather than counted as a payout by itself.

What the Spider changes

A Spider activates Mental Transform, which changes symbols on the reels. In the upgraded bonus modes, sticky Spiders repeat that transformation across successive rounds. That persistence is the important distinction from an isolated base-game appearance. Watch which symbols change and which positions remain fixed before comparing one result with the next. The transformation and the Dead Multiplier are connected to the particular bonus tier; they should not be described as identical in every part of Mental.

Autopsy, Lobotomy and Mental Free Spins

Three Scorpions activate Autopsy Free Spins, where Fire Frames remain sticky and an upgrade is possible. Adding a Spider to the trigger leads to Lobotomy Free Spins: its Spider stays in position, transformations occur each spin and a Dead Multiplier can transfer to a Patient. Three Scorpions with two Spiders trigger Mental Free Spins. In that top tier, the Spiders are sticky and the Dead Multiplier does not decrease. The key comparison is persistence and upgrade conditions, rather than treating all three names as interchangeable free-spin packages.

Buying a feature and understanding the cap

The official feature notes list bonus purchases ranging from 80 to 1,000 times the base stake, with availability dependent on the version and market. Read the selected tier and its displayed price in the demo before using a purchase control. Mental's advertised round maximum is 66,666 times the base bet; reaching the cap ends that round. A costly entry buys the specified feature configuration. It does not promise a return matching the price or make the maximum a realistic expectation for a short session.

How to read Mental's demo

The manufacturer records an RTP of 96.08% for the listed setup. That percentage is not a prediction of how much a demo session will return, and a casino may offer a different configuration. The useful way to examine Mental is to note the active bonus name, count the sticky Spiders and inspect what happens to the Dead Multiplier between spins. This review explains the documented feature rules; it does not present a demo balance, personal win or numerical rating as evidence of performance.
