Nunchucks uses six reels and four rows, with up to 4,096 winning ways. NetEnt sets its story around Sisters Faith, Hope and Love defending their parish under Mother Sofia. The mechanical focus is the Nun symbols: they activate their corresponding features and may award a respin. Several different Nun features can operate in the same sequence, and further Nuns can join during respins. Each respin is evaluated for wins before the sequence either continues or returns to the current game mode. Wilds substitute for regular paying symbols, while Bonus, Super Bonus and Nun symbols retain their own roles.
Colossal Nun creates a mystery block ranging from two-by-two to four-by-four positions. It becomes a paying symbol, or a Giant Wild when it overlaps an activated Wild reel. Wild Reel Nun changes its own reel into Wilds. Multiplier Nun adds values to reels: when a winning combination uses multiple multiplied reels, their values are added together for that win. Upgrade Nun improves an existing feature rather than introducing a separate one. It can enlarge a mystery block, double active reel multipliers or add between one and three Wild reels where positions remain available.
Three, four, five or six Bonus symbols activate eight, ten, twelve or fourteen Bonus Spins respectively. Including a Super Bonus symbol changes the award to Super Bonus Spins. The distinction matters because normal Bonus Spins reset activated Nun features after each spin, whereas the Super version retains those features for the whole bonus. Additional Nuns and upgrades can therefore build on earlier effects in the Super round. Both modes keep the triggering bet. NetEnt publishes a 96.21% RTP configuration and a maximum payout of 12,000 times the bet; no volatility rating is inferred from the unlabelled icon on its product page.
The official Elevate menu lists five differently priced choices. Bonus Hunt costs three times the bet and increases feature activation chances; Guaranteed Nun costs 25 times and guarantees a Nun symbol. The 100-times Bonus Spins option can also activate the Super version. Super Bonus Spins costs 300 times and includes a Super Bonus symbol plus at least one Nun. Super Nun Spin costs 500 times and guarantees a Nun while increasing the chance of a bonus. These are the published configuration options, not purchases made for this review.
