How the three-reel layout starts Hold and Win
Royal Nutcracker puts a toy soldier above a portrait-oriented three-reel, four-row grid with ten paylines. BGaming describes it as a LudexPlay collaboration. Coins land on the outer reels and Collect symbols on the centre reel. A Collect together with Coins on both outer reels starts Hold and Win; an ordinary collection does not necessarily trigger the bonus. Wilds substitute for regular symbols but cannot replace Coins or Collects.
Why an empty coin position can retain value
The bonus starts with three respins, refreshed by new Coins. Up to four Collect symbols can stay on the middle reel. They collect Coin values and clear the outer positions, but those positions remember their accumulated values through Booster Cells. A later Coin adds the stored amount before the cell updates again. Jackpot Coins participate too: the listed fixed awards are 15x, 30x, 100x and 1,000x the bet.
Bonus options and the announced release
The studio lists a 70x Regular Bonus purchase and a 200x Super Bonus purchase, with at least one or three Collect symbols respectively. Chance mode doubles the stake and cannot run alongside a bonus purchase. Published RTP is 96.00%, with medium volatility and a 15,000x maximum. The announced game release is 10 December 2026.
