Pragmatic Play ran free slot tournaments with real cash prizes at socialtournaments.com for six years. The platform shut down on 30 June 2025. This page keeps what it was, in its own words, and says where the games went.
“Social Tournaments will officially close on 30th June 2025.”
It stood on the home page of socialtournaments.com under the heading “Goodbye & farewell”, with a support address that worked until the same day and a privacy address for questions about stored data until 31 July 2025. After the shutdown the page changed one word — will close became has officially closed — and pointed visitors to the studio's own site.
Sources: the platform's own FAQ (archived 4 August 2020) for entry, age, countries, documents and payout; the studio's own news item of 6 August 2021 for the launch year, the prize types and the €1 million paid out; the farewell notice for the dates. Nothing here comes from a review site.
Yes. The platform said so itself: players could “join for free and win real money playing online slots”, with a monthly prize pool of more than $20,000. The account cost nothing, entering a tournament cost nothing, and the prizes were real cash rather than play money. Later seasons also handed out coins, virtual rewards and merchandise.
Only to get paid, never to play. Before a payout the site asked for proof of address issued within the last 90 days, a copy of an ID, passport or driving licence to show the winner was over 18, and a screenshot of the payment account so the money went to the right person. The documents went to the platform by e-mail, and the payout followed within about two weeks of the check.
No. Support closed with the platform on 30 June 2025. Questions about stored data were answered for one more month, until 31 July 2025. There is nothing left to log into, and we have found no first-hand statement about what happened to the accounts after that date.
Anyone aged 18 or over with a bank account or a Skrill or Neteller wallet in their own name. Some countries were excluded: the FAQ named the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Australia, Romania and Ukraine. That list is what the platform published in 2020 — we cannot show what it looked like on the last day.
The address socialtournaments.com now forwards to pragmaticplay.fun, which the farewell notice named itself. That site shows slot pages with demos, live casino games, game heroes and stories. It runs no tournaments: the word does not appear on its home page, in its FAQ, in its how-to section or in its terms of use.
Not one we can point to. We checked the studio's own pages rather than guessing. If something comparable starts, it will show up on the studio's own site first, and this page gets the date.
The tournaments are gone, the slots are not. 193 Pragmatic Play games run as a free demo on this site, on their own page, with play money and without an account — no registration, no deposit, no document check. What you cannot get anywhere any more is a cash prize for playing them for free.
Which casinos carry these games we have not checked ourselves, so we do not say — the casino list shows what we did check.
Four things stay open: whether a final tournament was held, how many accounts were affected, what happened to the stored data after 31 July 2025, and which countries were excluded on the last day.
