Cygnus 3 uses six columns of circular symbols and begins with four rows. Symbols roll into the field as winning combinations disappear; the available height can expand during the sequence. Its round symbols are therefore part of the game's movement and layout, not simply a cosmetic replacement for rectangular reels.
