Nitropolis 5 combines an expanding six-reel field with Nitro Reels, Nitro multipliers and a separate Boss Battle. The starting grid has four rows; smaller reels inside it can add symbols or modifiers. The main-game screenshot also shows the battle meter, which belongs to a different feature from the ordinary reel combinations.
Three bonus symbols activate free spins with sticky Nitro Reels. A Super Bonus symbol upgrades the entry to the maximum field size, Both Ways and NPD Holding Cells. When the selected NPD symbol forms part of a win, it locks in place while respins try to add to that result. Expansion and holding symbols therefore affect the following spins as well as the immediate screen.
Collecting three Boss coins through Nitro Booster opens the Boss Battle. The studio image shows its separate arena and ammunition counter. Nitro Booster has several possible modifiers, so reaching a bonus screen does not imply that every listed enhancement is active.
